Come join us on Friday, October 30th at Creative Tots for our first annual Harvest Festival! We will celebrate the year with costumes, pumpkin decorating, crafts and food. We have a traveling petting zoo coming to Tots for the evening. The kids will have a great time. Don’t forget to dress up!
Today at group time we talked about going to the doctor and looked at all of the different things doctors use to help us feel better. Miss Sarah played doctor and Jack got to come up to be the patient. He loved getting his blood pressure taken and couldn’t wait for me to listen to his heart beat!
This afternoon the children used sponges to paint circles. We used all different colors to make our beautiful circles! These circles will be used for a special project for the art show! They also had fun painting all over their pumpkins!
This week the sensory table is full of dirt and creepy crawly bugs! Most of the kids couldn’t wait to get their hands on the snakes and spiders but a few didn’t mind standing back and watching! The kids have been using their imagination and making the bugs crawl up their arms and slither all around!
Today there was a lot of team work going on as the kids decided to build a big castle! They worked hard to make each block balance on top of the next one! The best part was knocking down all of the blocks at the end!
The kids were so intrigued today when we did our coloring sorting activity. We had a bunch of different color bears and six different color bowls. Our job was to work together to put the bears in the right color bowl. Each child had a turn to take a bear and find the right home for him. They did a wonderful job sorting the bears! They couldn’t wait until it was their turn to take a bear! We had many friends help each other to make sure the bears were put into the right bowls.
The toddler class had so much fun this morning creating their Pumpkin Pie with the letter “P” on it! Edie loved sprinkling cinnamon all over her pumpkin pie and as you can see Owen took a really good sniff of his cinnamon!
The kids had a wonderful time with play dough this morning! They were using their creative minds to turn their play dough into many different things. Morgan turned his play dough into a pair of glasses and Audrey made hers into a hat!
Today we talked about how important it is to brush our teeth! For our art project today, the kids decorated their very own tooth brush! As you can see here, they are having fun using the dot paints to make their tooth brushes colorful!
