  • Sandy Play-dough

Ms Lori created a wonderful discovery group today using sand play-dough.  The play-dough had a cool sandy texture and smelled a bit like the seashore!  You can find the Sandy Play-dough Recipe by clicking the first picture below.  Have fun creating!

  • We had a fantastic start to our third week of school! In the toddler room we are learning the color red and the letter “R.” We are learning the ABC song and practicing sitting at group time. The children had fun working on their art show pieces: painting muffin tins and printing them on paper. A new addition to our playground is a huge sandbox!!! The children LOVE playing in it!! Check out all of our fun photos from our day!! 🙂

  • Lots of fun in the toddler room today!! 🙂 Check out the photos from our day ~ both morning and afternoon sessions.

  • Playdough Perfection: Upper and Lowercase Letter Matching

We continued our letter sound practice today with a twist!  When given a sound, the children found both the upper and lowercase letter that makes the sound and prints it into the play dough!  Making learning fun is the quickest way to get our little ones engaged and ready to learn!

  • Number Formation Rhymes

The best way a child learns at an early age is through song or rhyme.  We introduced number formation 0-9 today through number rhymes.  We will be using these rhymes all year to help your child remember the proper way to write their numbers.  In a few weeks you will be recieving a packet of number formation rhymes along with a “squishy bag” so you an practice at home.  Remember, learning can be fun!

  • Day 4 of the Final Week

We had such a blast today! Check out our photos from painting with spaghetti, playing with bubbles/water/whisks/red food coloring, and eating “ants on a log.” Definitely a fun day at summer camp!

  • Day 3 of Our Final Week!

Lots and LOTS of fun, hands-on activities today!! We got to play with GAK!!! We had a blast stretching and squishing the purple gak. Each child got to take home a jar of their own! 🙂 Check out photos from that and a few other activities from our day!!

  • The Scaly Fish

The Toddlers used their fine motor skills to pinch and grab cupcake lines as they added “scales” to their fish!
