We had another day full of activities and fun! Our focus for the day was “jumping!” –And LOTS of it! Today, we brought out the bouncy house! It was an instant hit!! We sang the 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and did a craft related to the song/book. We enjoyed watermelon for our special snack for the day. Our art activity for the day was making monkeys with footprints! The children laughed about having their feet painted!
We had a GREAT day today! Lots of fun and excitement! The children were so excited to see that our sensory table had sand and dinosaurs in it! Definitely a treat for them! We painted with golf balls by shaking them inside of a pitcher. Our special snack for the day was popsicles! yum yum YUM! We had fun with BEACH BALLS outside, too! Check out the photos from our day:
Today we started the first day of our SUMMER CAMP! Yay! The children were excited to see that our sandbox has new sand and toys. It was definitely a hit today! They also enjoyed playing at the water table! –Definitely an excellent way to cool off while having fun! Miss Kate introduced the children to our new friend: “Sunny the Summer Camp Dog!” He was a part of whole group read aloud time this morning. The children LOVE him!! We also had a blast painting bubble wrap and printing it on paper! At the easel, children were able to experiment with sticky paper and small pompoms. We enjoyed some tasty muffins for snack time. The children were delighted to sing along and dance with Miss Sarah as she played guitar during music/movement time. Overall, we had a great first day, and we are looking forward to more fun and excitement tomorrow!
Today, on our last day of “Let’s Pretend!”, our little campers learned about pirates! They made eye patches and parrots that sit on their shoulders! The little campers decorated the parrot’s feathers with sequins.
Look at all of our pirates!!
Yesterday, on the fourth day of “Let’s Pretend!”, our little campers pretended to be athletes! All of the girls wanted to be ballerinas and make tu-tus while the boys wanted to be football players and make football wreaths. The girls had their hands painted pink!
The boys had their hands painted orange and black. Hopefully their parents are all Bengals fans!
Yesterday, on the third day of “Let’s Pretend!”, our little campers read Maisy Dresses Up by Lucy Cousins. One of the characters dresses up as a king, and our little campers wanted to do the same! First, each made a crown!
Then, each little camper decorated their own shield!
It was fun to watch the little kings and queens walk around the classroom wearing their crowns and shields!
