WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!! We had a fantastic first day of preschool! Check out some of the photos from our morning!

We had so much fun celebrating the end of our school year! The preschoolers had a ball splashing, squirting, spraying, and soaking this week. I want to thank you for giving me the amazing opportunity to be in your children’s lives! What a FABULOUS year in the preschool room. Enjoy your summer!!

Thank you for coming out to the Art Show!  It was an amazing night of celebrating all of the hard work your little ones have done throughout the school year.  We have some blooming Kandinsky’s this year!

Ms. Joanie offers a special music class after school on Thursdays from 2:30-3:00.  She introduced the children to handbells and they learned to play jingle bells!  They did such a great job!

Many families have asked me over the years how they can help their child build strong social skills to help form friendships with their peers.  There are many ways that parents can help children learn the skills they need to initiate and build friendships with children during the early childhood years.  Research has shown that preschool-aged children who have positive peer relationships are likely to maintain positive peer interactions in elementary school.  This is an amazing article that outlines how parents can directly impact their child’s peer interactions and why it is so important to do so at such a young age.  Young children’s early experiences build their foundation for everything that will follow in their lives.  Click on the picture below to read a fantastic article about encouraging social skills in young children.

The preschool and Pre-K families took a ride to the pumpkin patch at Iron’s Fruit Farm yesterday.  We trekked through the muddy fields in search of the perfect pumpkin!  Some were round, some were tall, some were big and some were small!  What did your perfect pumpkin look like?
