We reviewed our numbers to 20 today and put them sequential order by creating a elephant number train. The kids did a GREAT job! Keep practicing numbers 11-20 at home!
We cut out small and large circles today to create our own African Lion! It is important for children to be able to successfully use scissors before Kindergarten. It is not only an independent skill that is used frequently in classrooms, but it is also a precursor to writing. Strong Fingers=Strong Writers!
We used a flashlight today as a pointer during small groups to play I spy. I spy a word with three letters….I spy a word with the ending sound /p/…I spy a word that rhymes with cake.
We continued working on color words as well as patterning during our reading groups today. Color words are a great addition to your basic sight word list if you child is ready!
