We have reached week 3 of our school year!! Yay!! Today the children listened to a read aloud called “All About You.” We talked about where we live, what we wear, who we live with, what we eat, etc. The children are currently learning the color red and the letter “R.” During group time, I had a bin with various items, and the children had to identify which items were red. During small groups, we painted rainbows (for the letter “R”) for our ABC book we will be working on throughout the year. They also painted a muffin tin and printed it on paper for the art show in March. The children worked on our numbers for the month (number recognition 1-3). They also practiced one-to-one correspondence and fine motor skills with pipe cleaners and colanders. The playground has a new feature that the children absolutely LOVE: a sandbox!! It is so hard to believe that we just wrapped up the last week of summer camp at Tots. We had an exciting last day…playing in the sensory tub with soil, noodles, shovels, and toy animals, eating ice cream from the ice cream truck, and painting with ice cubes. It has been such a blast to play, create, and explore with your children this week! Check out some of our photos from the last day:

We continue our “Play, Create, and Explore”week with milk/food coloring art, edible finger paint, and colored hair gel in ziplock bags. Lots of messy activities and hands-on experiences –which we love!! Take a peek at our day:

It’s hard to believe that it is our 5th week of summer camp!!! This week our theme is “Bubble, Bubble, Pop!!” Bubbles EVERYWHERE!! Check out some of the activities and faces of this week’s summer camp! 🙂 We’ve painted by blowing paint bubbles onto paper. We used bubble wrap to paint whales. This week has been lots of fun so far!!! 🙂
