I’m sure you little one shared with you that the Smartboard company finally came to fix our fabulous Smartboard! I don’t know who was more lost without it, the preschoolers or me?? Here are our favorite videos we have been singing, dancing, and learning with in the classroom.
Everybody Sing the Alphabet with Me
Enjoy learning while have fun with your preschool at home!
One to one correspondence is a skill that serves as foundation for many math skills. Counting and number recognition are worked on daily in the preschool room. The children practiced counting dots on a die and counting leaves individually to fill their tree.
Today the preschoolers strengthened their fine motor muscles while using their pincher fingers. Practicing pinching clips is an important skill for the daily procedures of our classroom. We worked on recognizing numbers and counting clips to match the circles. We counted the clips one by one to check that we had the right amount to match the number on the circle. The preschoolers were very proud of their math skills!
Working with your preschooler at home is an extremely positive step in the foundation of learning. Songs and videos are a great way to teach little ones new information and practice skills. They have fun interacting and the repetition helps instill knowledge.

This week in Early 3s we are focusing on Math. The students watched Ten Little Numbers on the ipad during small groups. This is a fun way to practice numbers and counting at home.
Next the children practiced counting. We worked on one-to-one correspondence by placing stickers in boxes for each number.
We practiced one-to-one correspondence by matching bears to dotted cards during small groups today as well. This was a fun activity for color recognition and counting.
