We had so much fun talking about our wonderful Earth! We brainstormed ways to keep Earth clean and protect our air, trees, and water. Our preschoolers are impressively green!
We talked all about how important it is to recycle. Next we built with items you can recycle at school or at home. We discussed reusing things with a new purpose, for example building with old boxes instead of blocks.
Then we worked we reused magazines to make art.
Lastly, we discussed what WE could EACH do to help keep Earth healthy. The preschoolers pledged to make sure all garbage makes it in the trash, not waste water while brushing their teeth or washing hands, recycling, and using both sides of paper. Ask your preschooler how they are helping our earth!
Today the preschoolers celebrated Earth Day! We brainstormed ways to protect our Earth and things we can do to help. Next, we strengthened our fine motor muscles by tearing recycled magazine sheets and creating a collage of the Earth. Ask your little one how they are going green!
We are learning to recognize the letter T and the sound that it makes this week! We have been coming up with T words and finding the letter T when we look at books! We even used glue (by ourselves!!) to glue a tree shaped like a T onto paper! Check out our new glue stick skills!
Today the preschoolers practiced the letters of their name while creating a colorful caterpillar.
Today we started October with our book of the month, Color Farm by Lois Elhert. We went on a shape hunt on each page. The illustrator created animals from the farm out of shapes. Next we practiced our glue stick skills and shape recognition while creating a rooster.
