The Early 3’s are continuing to work on their fine motor skills. Stringing beads help improve children’s ability to dress themselves, strengthens their pencil grasp, and improves their overall fine motor, visual perceptual, visual motor skills.
During small groups this month we have been working on building and strengthening our fine motor skills. This week the boys and girls practiced putting pipe cleaning into a matching colored hole on top of an oatmeal jar. The children are doing a great job reviewing the colors of the rainbow!
We are studying the letter M in early 3’s this week! We have been talking about words that start with M. One word we came up with was “macaroni”. The children had fun gluing pieces of macaroni to the letter M.
The Toddlers are reviewing colors of the rainbow this month. Today during art, the boys and girls created rainbows with the simple swipe of a sponge. They were fascinated with the beautiful colors as they moved the sponge across their paper!
Click Here to play Shape Bandit! with Team Umizoomi! This is great fine motor practice and builds shape recognition.
We are learning to recognize the letter T and the sound that it makes this week! We have been coming up with T words and finding the letter T when we look at books! We even used glue (by ourselves!!) to glue a tree shaped like a T onto paper! Check out our new glue stick skills!
The Early 3’s had a fun filled Valentines Day this week! We talked about how Valentines Day is a day to tell all the people you care about how much you love them. The children took turns at group time talking about who they loved! The children talked about loving their mommies, daddies, pets, and friends! During small groups we went on to decorate our valentine bags using stickers and to make special valentines for our parents.
