This week Ms. Taylor made some pumpkin play-doh for the children to enjoy. The boys and girls had the chance to experience things from nature in the discovery tubs! There were sticks, leaves and scented pumpkin play-doh. The children really enjoyed using all their different senses to explore and create!
We created some cool spiders today in the Toddler room! The boys and girls painted some styrofoam cups, added button eyes and I attached some pipe cleaner legs to make some awesome orange spiders!
This month is all about spiders. So during art, we experimented with painting with spiders! This activity had the children’s fine motor skills working, picking up those little spiders and stamping them on the paper. It is exciting to paint with something other than a paint brush!
We are introducing spiders this month! In the toddler room, we have fun doing activities that engage the boys and girls with developing their fine motor skills. With this activity the children had a chance to put the spiders on the web and take them off. Some of the boys and girls did not even want to touch the spiders! It was a very sticky web!
The month of October our color is ORANGE! Today during art we painted with oranges instead of paint brushes. The boys and girls had a lot of fun making prints with the oranges in orange paint!
Clips are a very important part to our Classroom. They help us work at centers during Free Choice Time!
We wanted to practice to make our tiny fine motor muscles super strong!

We’ve been working hard during the month of December on reviewing numbers 1-20 with a focus on number 12. The number twelve seems to be tricky for most of the students because it doesn’t fall into the basic “teen” rule. “Numbers in the teens, they start with a one.” We used the classroom clock as a reference for numbers 1-12 and watched a fun, interactive video that put our lesson to music.
