The preschoolers worked out identifying their letters and numbers today. Next, they traced the letter or number with their finger while erasing it. This is great formation and fine motor practice. Have fun playing at home!
The preschoolers have been exploring all kinds of ways to relax at the end of our busy school day. Allowing a little mind to calm down and unwind is an important skill. We read stories, talk about our day, stretch our bodies, meditate, or practice yoga poses. Yoga Relaxation is a wonderful way for children to experience movement with their bodies and connect with their peers. Look at the preschoolers practicing their balance poses!
Namaste!
As fall quickly approaches it is important to keep ourselves healthy and strong! One way to do that is to keep our hands clean. Sharing is an important part of being a good friend, but Germs are Not for Sharing.
We quickly realized with our glitter hand sanitizer that germs are easily spread through touch! Greetings and hand holding are an important part of school and friendship, but we learned that keeping our hands clean is also an important part of being a good friend. The glitter spread as we shook hands around our greeting circle. We learned that germs can spread in the same way and it is important to scrub our hands clean before and after we play, before we eat and after we use the potty!
Homework folders went home last Thursday and we introduced the children to one of the many activities that they will find within their notebook. Letter sound recognition is an crucial part of early reading!
