In the toddler room this week, we had fun coloring in/over the various holiday pictures Ms. Kate drew on the butcher paper for us. We also had fun squishing and squeezing the sparkly discovery bags. We enjoyed a simple scooping and pouring activity with oatmeal and mint. -a fun, good-smelling activity. 🙂
Today in our discovery center, we played with winter/Arctic animals in trays of ice! The children had fun playing in the melting ice!
We have had a lot of fun playing with our cinnamon/gingerbread play dough….
Check out the fun we had in our sensory center. We have a winter theme this month…and the children loved putting on gloves to play in the “snow.”
We read the book “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” We did an activity where we danced around (to “Twinkle, Twinkle” on the iPod) on various shapes taped to the rug…and when I stopped the music, the children had to run to the star shape. We had a lot of fun with this. 🙂

I have so much to catch up on! 🙂 Check out some of the fun activities and learning experiences we’ve had throughout the month of November {including hand print turkeys, Indian corn/paint stampers, decorating turkeys with feathers on contact paper, and watercolor painting turkeys at the easel} I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!!!

Check out what we have been up to in the toddler room this week!!! So much going on….lots of Halloween themed activities and art projects from jack-o-lanterns, Halloween stamps, and monsters, to gel bags with spiders, bats, and pumpkins. Enjoy a wrap of our week via photos….
On Wednesday, we had lots of fun painting using acorns. We put paint, acorns, and paper in a container; then we shook the container. The children had a lot of fun shaking the container to make unique paintings!
