This month our color is “PINK!” We have been doing various activities with pink…from a valentine themed sensory tub, to painting with pink (pink sky with stars), to a discovery center with a variety of pink items. During group time, I put white paint in a bottle then added red paint to it. Each child got to shake up the bottle, making the paint mixture turn pink!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

This week in one of our discovery centers, the children played with water, water beads, and plastic fish! This is an excellent sensory experience for them as they build their fine motor skills

This month we have been learning about animal babies and their moms…So this week we have had fun washing pairs of animals with soap, water, and sponges. Definitely a fun sensory experience while incorporating our theme!

This week we have been learning about rectangles. The children practiced their fine motor skills as they stamped colors onto rectangles.

On Friday, we practiced using our fine motor skills as we glued various purple items onto a sheet of purple paper.

This week in the toddler class, we have been learning about the color purple! During group time, the children come up to the board and choose a purple shape to “feed” to the sparkly purple bag. We have also been learning about baby animals. We made little lions this week! We used our fine motor skills to paint the lion with sparkly yellow paint and to place the foam strips on the head for the mane.

This month in the toddler room, we are studying baby animals! On Monday and Tuesday, we used our fine motor skills to put together a lamb with paper, glue, and cotton balls!

On Friday, we had lots of fun with Ms. Joanie as we sang, danced, and twirled ribbons!

This week we have been having fun in the sensory table with winter animals and bird seed!! Check out some of exploring we were doing in the sensory table! 🙂

Welcome back!! It was great to see everyone again! On Monday (and today) during group, the children had to match the baby animal to its mother. We discussed the different names for each baby animal (a baby sheep is called a “lamb”, a baby horse is called a “foal”, etc.) The children also had fun “washing” animals in a tray of water and soap.
