We have new centers for the month of April! They are based on our farm habitat theme. The students are having fun exploring them!
We are continuing our work with building and writing our names! We are building our hand strength, learning to form our letters, and spelling our names all on our own! This was a fun activity we did making caterpillars to celebrate spring and warmer weather!
Young children have the desire to create. We see it in our own children every day! What we may not know is that art is a way for children to express their feelings and emotions. Open-ended art allows them to make independent choices on what materials to use, the outcome of the work, and individual expression rather than on the final product. Exploration and creative thinking are linked to meeting challenges throughout our life! So log off pinterest, grab the plain white paper, tubes of paint, brushes and let them lead the way.

To wrap up our desert habitat month, we had some special guests come to visit us at Creative Tots! Our friend Miss Katie, from the Cincinnati Zoo, brought an armadillo and a corn snake for us to look at and touch! It was so much fun to see the animals we have been learning about in person!
Our preschoolers have been working so hard this month on writing our names! We have been practicing writing our letters, especially the letters that are found in our names! This week we even created our very own name rockets!
We fed Mr. Teni his favorite numbers during small groups! This activity helped us build stronger hands while reviewing numbers 1-20. This is a fun and easy activity to make and use at home…Mr. Teni loves to eat just about anything and is sure to help develop strong hands for strong and enthusiastic writers!
Creative Tots has specialized in the private education of both toddlers and preschool age children for over 15 years. We began in the heart of Madeira and now also have a new Mason location. We are specifically designed to focus on early childhood development for children ages 18 months to 5 years.
